Headmaster's Comments
Gala Dinner
Food Educator and Nutritionalist, Darren Tickler, guided Y8 through a night that they will not forget for a long time. Their challenge was to produce a three course meal with full waiter service and elaborate table decorations for 150 parents. Following cooking sessions in the School kitchens, under the guidance of Catering Manager Elaine O’Sullivan and Head Chef John, 12 chefs were selected. The evening was a great success, with many of the guests agreeing that a good number of corporate catering companies could learn a thing or two from Y8. Well done and thank you to all those involved in making last Friday such a special occasion. To read more click here.

ABRSM Music Exams
There is a resource on the ABRSM website called 'On Your Marks' which allows you to watch and assess all the elements of an ABRSM graded music exam and compare notes with their Chief Examiner: http://gb.abrsm.org/en/exam-support/on-your-marks/. This is a useful tool for pupils preparing to take an ABRSM exam, to help understand how the exams are assessed and what the examiners are looking for in a performance.
